Community Security Organisation (CSO) Cape Town

The CSO (Cape Town) NPC is a Non-Profit and PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) registered Company. The CSO provides both security services and medical emergency services to the Jewish Community in the Western Cape. The CSO provides oversight for the overall security of synagogues, Jewish school campuses, Jewish communal organisations and buildings and approximately 600 communal events annually. This is achieved in co-operation with selected private security companies and the South African Police Service (SAPS).

The CSO prides itself on providing all its services to the Jewish community entirely free of charge. This means that security is provided on a ‘needs’ basis rather than on ability to pay. As a registered Non-Profit Organisation, we rely on funding from the UJC and donations from community members. Without this support, CSO Cape Town cannot maintain and develop its security and life-saving medical response services to the community.
